Yoga teaching outfits that go from studio to dinner.

As a yoga teacher one of the trickiest things is that I end up teaching late at night – and if there are ever any events – birthdays, drinks, dinners – it often means I will have to go straight from teaching yoga to the event.

Because of this, I’m always on the search for clothing that can easily function as yoga teaching gear (easy to move in and comfortable) that can transform easily into clothing to “go out” in (trendy and fashionable).

When FemmeLuxe emailed me to say they wanted to gift me some clothing, I had a browse through their site and found outifts that I thought would match my yoga-to-party needs – so I decided to give it a go!

I ordered 4 different pieces from their website – which I want to share with you below –

The first piece were these black animal crocodile print leggings. They are high waisted which I really like and they could definitely be used to teach a yoga class in as they are easy to move in. They are not specifically active wear – so I don’t think they would wear well to actually practice in, but I did wear them a few weeks ago to teach in and they were perfect!

As I mentioned my main goal for finding cool yoga gear is being able to wear them from studio to dinner – and that is exactly what I did a few weeks ago when I met Warren for a dinner out straight after teaching – as I paired it with the second item I selected from FemmeLuxe –

This super trendy Black Lips Printed Oversized Long Sleeve Shirt Dress. (I mean, cool – am I right?!) It was so easy to put on some heeled boots, some black earrings and this top and the yoga teaching outfit is completely transformed into a super trendy Thursday-night-dinner outfit!

The next item I chose were some Stone Animal Crocodile Cigarette Trousers that are for purely casual wear (ie: not yoga teaching!). They were slightly different fabric than what I expected from the listing at the site – they are more cotton/soft fabric than what I expected from the listing, but they fit really well and I also love the high waist.

I think these pants/trousers would also look cool paired with a long coat or switched out with a different brown belt.

I went totally left field for the last item and ordered something that reminded me SO much of the 3 years that I spent in South Korea –

I ordered this super cute Black and White Check Pinafore Dress with floral straps. I actually wore it out to see a friend’s theatre production and felt very much the part! The frills on the straps did flap out a bit, which I tried to iron flat, but I think with time they will behave themselves a bit more!

I think it would also look cool with a black long sleeved top – so I’m now on the hunt for one of those! (Yes, that’s correct, I do NOT already have a black long-sleeved top)
