Yoga Teacher Home: Hanging Pictures

At home, we’ve been building ourselves a “wedding wall” hanging our favourite picture from each of our Wedding Dress Adventures so far. The “wedding wall” is the wall that leads down the stairs to the front door, but the pictures are high enough on the wall so that if we are on landing of the stairs they are roughly eye level. Because the pictures are eye level with the landing, we aren’t able to hang some of them by standing on the stairs, as the stairs are too low. We had a few extra prints to hang one weekend, and Warren was trying to see if it was possible to hang the frames by standing on the landing and reaching over the banister –

Standing on the other side of the banister means a sheer drop of a flight of stairs down below –

(egaaaaad)

So seeing this was the only option without procuring a ladder from thin air, The Husband climbed onto the other side of the banister – with literally nothing between him and the sheer drop down the stair well…

I nervously shuffle to the stairs and try and reach up towards him to help hold him up so that he does not fall to his death

…with my face full frontal in husbands crotch…

Oh we did have a proper LOL at the situation, but definitely not for too long as holding someone on the stair case while they try drill holes into the wall to hang a picture is some epic work.

But in the end we all survived and the pictures are hanging proudly on our wall!

I’ve been cracking on this week with uploading super exciting new content for the Members Site: MOVE BREATHE CREATE – this coming season the theme is Patterns: yoga practices (aka BUM WORK) to help alleviate the movement patterns we get stuck in that aren’t helpful (ie: sitting all day!), there is a “pain in the neck” flow, 10 day meditation series on releasing negative thought patterns, journal prompts, creative pattern inspiration, and I’ve got two guest contributors this season too – one who is chatting with me (podcast style) about the mental patterns we get stuck in and how to move through them, a little bit more about the yogic philosophy of “samskaras” and the other contributor who is has an amazing Mandala Pattern tutorial for you to follow. There is also a monthly schedule for you to follow to guide you through all the creative exercises, movement practices, tutorials and learning!

All the new content arrives May 1, but you will also have access to all the previous season’s content so there is loads to dive into!

This is a super busy weekend for us! Warren has brunch with a friend from school tomorrow, then we have a first birthday party,  then dinner with friends and coffee with another friend on Sunday who is getting ready to head off to Australia soon. Plus I’m hoping to fit some yoga at a studio somewhere in between there – So basically we will be needing a weekend from our weekend this weekend! What are you up to this weekend? Come pop me a message on Instagram to let me know!
