13 non-material gift ideas for Christmas.

This time of year comes with a lot of “stuff”.

Let me be honest – sometimes “stuff” is pretty cool. I like stuff. I like stuff a lot. Particularly shiny-stuff. And stuff that keeps me warm and stuff that has cool patterns and stuff that makes our home feel homely and stuff that smells good and stuff that makes me feel good. And stuff that is artsy and stuff that is wonderful to drape on my body. Stuff is pretty cool and we can all appreciate good stuff in our lives… sometimes too there can be just a lot of extra STUFF that we don’t really want or need in our lives.

So I wanted to share a list of Christmas gift ideas that are non-stuff related – it may give you some inspiration for the person in your life who already has all the stuff they need.

A MASSAGE VOUCHER
Who doesn’t love a pampering body-loving gift of a massage?
Nobody, that’s who. And splurging on a message isn’t something that we always do for ourselves – so why not gift it to someone you love.

FACIAL/FOOT SCRUB/PAMPERING TREATMENT
Similar to a massage – this could be a voucher for a pedicure or manicure, a facial or some other treatment that you know your person will love and won’t necessarily spend or give to themselves. Such a lovely treat!

POTTERY EXPERIENCE
I’ve recently been doing some pottery in Wimbledon and it’s been so lovely getting my hands dirty with Francesca and I think this would be such a lovely experience to give to someone – and they will get to take home a hand-made ceramic item – which will always remind them of you!

CERAMIC PAINTING
In a similar line of the creative experience above, there are plenty of pottery and ceramic painting studios like Mini Potters in Earlsfield that offer ceramic painting as an experience – even better, make a plan to go WITH your “giftee” so that you can make an experience of it!

ONLINE YOGA SUBSCRIPTION
Actually what really prompted me to write this list was a yogi on Instagram asking if she could give a 3 month subscription to her friend for my Move Breathe Create Members platform – and I thought this was such a lovely idea – and so great for not adding to the extra “stuff” but still giving a really beautiful and thoughtful gift to a friend. The bonus of an online yoga subscription is that you can gift it to anyone, anywhere! If you are interested in this – pop me a message over here and I will set up a code for you! Perfect in time for the January “reset”!

REAL LIFE YOGA SUBSCRIPTION
If you want to give the gift of yoga in person, then a yoga voucher to a local studio would be a fabulous idea too! Both Jiva Health Wimbledon, Earlsfield and Revive Yoga in Tooting offer gift vouchers which you can gift to the people you love. If you are local to my Wimbledon classes at St Marks – you could also gift someone a 6 class pass for £50! Get in touch to set it up!

YOGA RETREAT!
If you really want to treat a loved one, then spoil them with a YOGA RETREAT! I have two UK retreats next year Voyage to the Soul Immersion (April 2020) and Move Breathe Create Weekend Retreat (August 2020). If you want more info on these please drop me a message here! I’d love to help you (or help surprise someone you love!)

DATE NIGHT
Something that I used to sell a LOT of, were my mini “love vouchers” – these included things like “A dirty dish free night”, “a movie night”, “exclusive use of the TV remote” – and other fun things that are free and thoughtful! You could get creative and make a set of your own Love Vouchers – or grab my digital version – they make great stocking fillers!

A JANUARY RESET
This may be a gift for yourself or it may be a gift for a friend – or it may be a gift you do together! But January-time I’m almost certain we all feel like we need a bit of a reset! Anna Marsh is offering a 28 day Gut Reset program which begins January 6th and she’s given me an affiliate link to share with you here! If you buy it as a gift for you and your friend- you could do it together and help keep yourselves accountable! I will be joining in with this round in January – as I had such fabulous insights and results after doing it 2 years ago- read about my experience here!

DRIVING EXPERIENCE –
One for the men! I once gifted Warren a Supercar driving experience – he loved it so much that he gifted it to his dad (and obviously, himself again, lol) when his dad next visited! This one is a hit for men if you are at a loss!

MEMBERSHIPS
Art and Museum memberships, golf club memberships, Natural park memberships – there are so many great ways to gift this type of experience for someone and their particular interest. Have a think about what might interest your “giftee” and have a browse to see if there is something suitable!

INSIGHT AND SELF KNOWLEDGE
Another really great thing to gift someone is a little bit of self insight. Keri Bainborough is currently offering Human Design chart readings (I’ve had one done with her – I’m a Manifesting Generator!) and it really is a fascinating way of uncovering your patterns and “super-powers”! You could also gift Enneagram testing, coaching, Astrology chart readings, online courses or anything else that your person might be into!

A SELF LOVE DAY
Here’s a great idea for someone special! Grab an envelope and put in some cash with a note to tell your person that this is to be spent on a “self-love” day – your person can then take that money and treat themselves to a wonderful coffee shop date, or a dinner out, or a trip to an art gallery or a delicious ice-cream at their favourite dessert bar or anything that they fancy really! Maybe your note includes that you will spend the day together doing what they wish – or, maybe it’s a day ALL to themselves – (with baby-sitting taken care of – new moms, that’s for you!)

Those are my top 13 non-material gifts for people who have all the stuff they need in their lives! Do you have any others to share? I’d love to read them if you leave a comment – or come share with me over on Instagram!
