Dairy of a creative Yoga teacher: seven things sunday

che dyer yoga

Last week I set myself the commitment of writing a weekly “Seven things Sunday” and, well – here I am.

(Well done self)

My computer has been off the entire weekend (which is unusual since I usually leave my computer running day, night, day, night, day night until it has a technological tantrum like it did on Friday (if you watched my @indieyogalife instastories – you will know what I mean). So anyway, my computer has been in a time-out the whole weekend and it’s been rather refreshing.

So I’ll get straight onto 7 things Sunday of 7 random things that I can tell you from the week

  1. I am just LOVING this weather!! It’s the living best. I’m sitting here typing with my hair wet after an evening shower and hair wash – which I would NEVER do in the depths of winter (the night time wet hair, not the shower). It reminds me so much of South African summers with braais and late night swimming and hot evenings. Warr has already got the braai bit nailed, but I’m working on manifesting a swimming pool and some more outdoor summer into the mix too, lol! Even the other day we had a random thunderstorm after a super hot day and it felt SO much like home.
  2.  As I was sitting here pondering what to type, I took a deep breath and thought ‘what is it that I need to share right now?’ and the thing that randomly popped into my head was this really loving thought of, “you’re doing ok. You’re doing all right, right now!” So whether that was for me and what I needed to hear in this moment, or whether you could do with hearing that too – there it is for you to take and absorb as you please.
  3. About half an hour ago, Warren and I had a 15 minute “discussion” about light bulbs – or rather a question about light bulbs, which was answered, but technically did actually answered because hypothetically if you refer to a stash of light bulbs in the cupboard and say “can they be used in the kitchen?” and the reply is “they already are being used” then it does not TECHNICALLY answer the question referring to the light bulbs in the cupboard. BUT ANYWAY, the bottom line is that I am almost 98% positive that semantics account for nearly 73% of all divorces. It’s not confirmed but I’d bet a stash of lightbulbs that those percentages are dead accurate.
  4. I’m committing to a minimum business baseline of every week doing something which is a little bit (terrifying) for pushing my business forward. This week I’m jumping on pushing GO on a creativity and yoga workshop and a few other little bits and pieces…
  5. I’ve REALLY been enjoying brain games on Netflix – it’s a little bit of a brain workings, a little bit of science, a little bit of magician and a little bit of tricks and puzzles.
  6. Baking rusks is literally a full day endeavour.
  7. I wish I had something more profound to end on, but really there is some flying buzzing creature that has been annoyingly smacking himself against the window for the duration of this writing session so now I must go and get this this out.

    Aaah summer.

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead! Viva la June!
