Yoga Journal #20: Living in Retakes.

Went to the driving range with Warr to pick up his golf clubs.

Was watching him hit some shots from the driving range – kept trying to get “the right shot” of him swinging – then realised that instead of watching my husband play golf, I was living in retakes.

So had a moment where I decided to put down my phone and just LIVE in the moment.

Ended up having a really amazing late afternoon cheese and wine out at Hemmingways – had a big debate about vegetarianism – was so good to know that we can have such opposing views but still be able to have a constructive talk about it without fighting.

Had such a lovely evening – came home at about 8 – watched a movie, smashed a pizza.

    Are you a vegetarian Che?
I’ve notice that the past few months I’ve not really wanted meat that much and had it not been for my husband who is a thorough meat and two veg man I probably would be vegetarian now!

Hey Fiona 🙂 I wouldn’t “technically” call myself a vegetarian, but yes recently (probably since about January) I have stopped eating meat although I am still eating fish. My body just feels generally WAY lighter and I find that my entire digestive system functions way better! Warren (husband) has been so incredible at supporting me in this – so I’m very grateful – because I think it can be quite difficult when you are trying to prepare dinners for the both of you and end up having to almost make two meals! Deliciously Ella has some really great recipes that don’t feel like you’ve had to “give up” anything! I made her veggie burgers and they are so delicious. My reason for giving up meat I can’t really put a finger on – but I think people in general have lost a LOT of connection of where our food comes from. This is a really interesting Ted Talk on it all! http://www.ted.com/talks/mark_bittman_on_what_s_wrong_with_what_we_eat?language=en
